The story is Lola had 5 children (4 at the time of the story). She worked at the cigar factory in LIma and got carrie a job there. Her husband was an interior decorater. He made money but he spent it on booze and women. They fought a lot. Her 4 kids were in the children's home in Lima.

Lola found a name and address of a woman in Bellefontaine. She went to the ladies home (took the Interurban) and said she was demonstrating face powder. The woman was living with her mother. Once she got the lady in the chair, instead of bringing out the face powder she brought out a knife and slit the woman's throat then ran off. The police caught her. She always said that if the Inter-Urban had been on time, she wouldn't have been caught.

She was arrested, but when the judge heard about her working to support the family and her children were in a children's home and her husband was spending money on alcohol and women, she was let off light. She served about 8 days in jail and paid something like $7.00 in fines.
